The software sits on top of your Windows desktop. It creates a focused experience that feels like a dedicated game console rather than a computer. It works well with the ASUS ROG Ally and other similar handheld hardware.
Follow these steps to set up playfront on your device:
Once the app opens, you will see a list of your installed games. Use the D-pad on your controller to move between tiles. Press the A button to start a game.
Press the Menu button on your controller to open the Settings menu. Here you can change themes, add custom game paths, or close the application. If you want to return to your normal Windows desktop, select the Exit option from the main menu.
The program detects most games automatically. If a game does not appear, enter the settings menu and choose the Scan Library button to refresh the list.
If the application crashes, restart your handheld device. Check that your Windows graphics drivers are up to date. Most display issues occur due to older driver versions. If games fail to launch, ensure that you have installed the game stores or launchers required by those specific titles.
